Update June 1st: The Umarex Steel Force is now on our store! Get yours here. The Steel Storm is considered a BB pistol and the new Umarex Steel Force will be in the BB rifle category, mainly do to it’s larger size and length with it’s rifle stock. The one differece in the two units are the category. Looks like so far this awesome air rifle will be priced around $125 USA, which is about $25 more than the Steel Storm. You should get around 200 good shots with this air gun and 300 shots total from the air supply. This unit will also use the 2 – 12 gram CO2’s for it power. The BB hopper is on top and the built in magazine will hold 300 BB’s. Blowback action will also be functioning just like its predecessor. It will be one shot or 6 round burst at 1200 rpm just like the Steel Storm. Lets hope so! Update: on further inspection, seems the barrels are the same length. Don’t be surprisd when the Steel Force hits the market that it might produce 500 fps. The new Steel Force seems to have a longer barrel which traditionally should yield a bit more fps. I was suprised to see the specs of the Steel Force FPS being the same as the Steel Storm’s, at 430 fps. This new air rifle is modeled off the AR platform and will have the adjustable stock. This air rifle has the same internal mechanism as the Umarex Steel Storm.

The magazine holds the 2 CO2 cartridges for its power-plant and the 2 CO2 tightening keys can be stored indefinitely inside the fake magazine as well…see the video below for a demonstration… The fake magazine drops out with the push button function like the real AR style rifle as you see in my video review below. Loading from the 300 round BB hopper just takes a few seconds while you give it the ole’ BB fill shake now infamous with some of the latest Umarex air guns like the Steel Storm and the EBOS Burst of Steel. This thing will spray some serious steel at about 1200 rpm on fresh CO2′s and after they are used up a bit it goes down to 800-1000 rpm till they are spent. I have really enjoyed it after having it for a couple weeks now. The Umarex Steel Force air rifle is quite a fun BB gun to plink and shoot around.
